Performance - handling tests
All the best functional features are useless if the device is difficult to use. Usability begins with the concept.
A device designed with self-explaining functions and control elements has clear advantages. For major devices, the so-called white goods with a wide range of functions, a good instruction manual is essential. The devices should be useable by everyone without problems, including challenged persons. Thus, the term "design for all" has gained more and more importance for our handling tests over the last years.
For handling tests, we put together groups of persons consisting of both men and women of different ages. Furthermore, the tests are done with lay people, experts (trained test staff) or in mixed groups, depending on the performance requirements.
