Performance - technical tests
On the rarest occasions technical tests are done without any other tests. Rather they are supporting tests (examples) for:
Function test
Example: Browning level in order to determine the browning of "small cakes" – makes a statement about the browning evenness per "cake" and over the whole baking plate or plates for more than one cooking level, enabling conclusions about the heat distribution, a technical parameter describing the cooker's function.
Energy label test
Example: Cooker test without food with a standardised brick as load – standardised conditions for all test pieces, the calculated energy consumption results in the energy labelling categorisation according to EC Directive
Environmental friendliness
Example: acoustic measurements, energy measurements, pollutant tests
Durability
Example: endurance tests, calcification tests - inspection of technical components
Handling
Example: Vibration measurements for tools and kitchen devices which are held in the hand during work – the lower vibration, the more comfortable and safe lies the device in the hand - measuring for support of subjective assessments
Safety
Example: Vibration measurement for tools is partly an element of the safety test, technical components are subject to an endurance test in order to see whether those stay safe even after a certain period of use.
Our services:
During our technical tests we measure voltages, capacities, currents, energy consumptions, humidities, temperatures, pressures, volume flows, browning levels, steam quantities and many many more values for the following products:
 |
household appliances (minor and major appliances (so-called white goods, such as washing machines and tumble dryers) |
 |
floor cleaning devices (floor vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners, wet vacuum cleaners, etc.) |
 |
tools (electric and rechargeable devices) |
 |
gardening devices (hedge trimmers, chaff cutters, etc.) |
 |
lights (torch, desk light, illuminated and electric decorational products such as candle arches, pyramids, window decoration, etc.) |
 |
illuminants (energy-saving lamps, bulbs, etc.) |
