Construction of test equipment - performance
Test facilities as for example vacuum cleaners, flat irons, tumble dryers and extractor hoods for the determination and assessment of essential usage parameters, such as air data, emission values, surface colours...
Vacuum cleaner test facility and carpet beating machine
WG3 tests according to IEC 60312:
dust absorption of various carpets with maximum and reduced capacity |
dust absorption from floor gaps |
determination of vacuum cleaner operating force |
specific energy consumption |

Dust emission test equipment
The test equipment according to IEC 60312 analyses the exhaust air of household and industrial vacuum cleaners by means of particle counters in eight size groups. |

Test equipment for the air data determination of house hold appliances
| 1. |
test equipment for extractor hoods according to DIN EN 61591 |
2.
test equipment for private and commercial use vacuum cleaners with 1~ or 3~ power supply line or rechargeable battery supply according to IEC 60312 |
| 3. |
test equipment for tumble dryers |
Test criteria:
function test |
measuring of power parameters P1, P2, efficiency factor, low pressure
measuring of dust exposure |
measuring of rotational speed, temperatures, flow losses |
measuring of device proofness |
Setting parameters:
presetting of warming up time |
presetting of test time |
presetting of test voltage (AC and DC) |
presetting of test frequency (50/60Hz) |
presetting of temperature difference |
Reference vacuum box
The reference vacuum box is a measurement system for the regular collection and display of parameters important for a dust absorption, similar to vacuum cleaners:
voltage intake |
relative pressure in dust bag space |
rotational speed of blower engine |
rotational speed of brush roller |
Test equipment of flat iron soles
The test equipment enables assessment of flat iron sole surfaces in compliance with EN 60311. Evaluation criterion is the friction which appears when a flat iron is sliding over a standard ironing board. By means of the test equipment the flat iron is pulled horizontally over the ironing board with a constant speed of 0.25m/s, while measuring the friction value. |
Test desk for the determination of the grease separating level on extractor hoods
The test desk allows for measurements about the extractor hood grease filter's efficiency according to DIN EN 61591.
The following functions can be realised:
function test |
measuring of voltage, power, capacity, energy, rotational speeds |
measuring of grease separating level |
measuring and control of water and lube consumption and pot temperature |
Setting parameters are:
presetting of test voltage and frequency |
presetting of pot temperature, water and lube consumption |
presetting of test time |
Test facility for gasket testing
The test facility serves the determination of washing machine gaskets' viscoelastic characteristics during pre-defined enforced vibrations. Determined are lines of force depending on the test frequency.
Continuously variable:
upstroke/amplitude |
frequency |
test level offset |
Measuring device for the browning level of standardised pastries
Thanks to the realisation of a completely diffuse, spectrally defined illumination within an enclosure, the light reflected by the pastries - e.g. tartlets - is optically displayed by a camera and documented by an image processing system.
The illumination is produced in a way that allows for pastries to be illuminated equally and approximated to a Lambertian radiation distribution. |
