Sound Insulation/ Acoustics - Architectural and room acoustics
The purpose of architectural and room acoustics is looking for and finding proper solutions for acoustic problems in construction. This concerns all construction phases, i.e. planning and execution, but also control during execution and after completion. The problems occuring require a differentiation in architectural and room acoustics.
The most important field of activity in architectural acoustics is the metrological or mathematical determination of sound insulation for components in order to protect them against noise.
Room acoustics is about guaranteeing good hearing conditions in auditoriums, studios, rehearsal rooms, etc.
