Environmental simulation - corrosion, low pressure, UV light
Apart from the environmental tests realisable in our laboratory, we can have the following tests done for you with competent cooperation partners:
corrosion tests |
low pressure tests |
UV light tests |
The performance of tests is organised and controlled by SLG. Most of our cooperation partners are accredited laboratories.
Our services:
placing and organisation of tests with our cooperation partners |
examination for duly test realisation |
realisation of function and other verification tests for the inspection and control of the required features |
detailed test reports with end result, issued by SLG |
realisation of comprehensive test plans, also in succession of various environmental tests |
Corrosion tests::
Corrosion tests are used to determine the effects caused by the influence of corrosive environmental impacts (e.g. salt fog or various gases) on products, especially on electric components (such as contacts), in order to verify their durability against such impacts.
Corrosion tests can be done in compliance with the following standards, for example:
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-11 - Salt mist |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-42 - Sulphur dioxide test for contacts and connections |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-43 - Hydrogen sulphide test for contacts and connections |
Other tests and combinations on request.
Low pressure tests::
During the so-called low pressure tests, several air pressure conditions are simulated as they might occur during the use of products in great heights, airplane transport or in aviation.
Low pressure tests can be realised in compliance with
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-13 - Low air pressure |
or other standards and customised test plans.
UV light tests::
During UV light tests (sun simulation), the effects of the sunlight's UV content on products is simulated, to be able to inspect for example material properties for changes.
Realisation of UV sunlight tests on request. |
