Environmental simulation - purpose of temperature and climatic tests
Temperature and climatic tests are used for the simulation of climatic conditions that might occur during transport, storage or operation of devices, assemblies or components. With the help of those tests, thermal and climatic conditions which products are exposed to in practice can be simulated and desired features or functions can be tested under those conditions.
Furthermore, tests can be made under conditions more extreme than the ones that might occur in practice, in order to verify higher efficiency and operating safety.
Temperature and climatic tests can also help to speed up symptoms of ageing and - as a result - shorten life tests. With this test, product and material features can be inspected during their lifetime and failures, especially early ones, can be recognized and inspected.
We realise temperature and climatic tests in compliance with the following international and national standards:
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-1 - Cold |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-2 - Dry heat |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-14 - Change of temperature |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-30 - Damp heat, cyclic |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-38 - Composite temperature/humidity cyclic test |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-61 - Climate sequence |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-67 - Damp heat, static state, accelerated test |
IEC/EN/DIN EN 60068-2-78 - Damp heat, steady state |
ISO/DIN ISO 9022-2 - Cold, heat and humidity |
or tests in compliance with customised standards and other test bases (customised test plans).
Test parameters can be adjusted according to customer demands.
